Our Expert Advice

Our obsession is travel. We have travelled extensively throughout South Africa for over ten years and in over 50 countries worldwide. We have been to all the provinces in South Africa, all the major cities, all the main tourist attractions and travelled both as backpackers and in luxury.

At Satpack Travel we prefer to be adventurous and get off-the-beaten track. This has opened our eyes to a whole new world in South Africa that most international tourists never see. This world has magnificent scenery, deserted beaches, amazing value for money and real people offering hospitality like we’ve seen no-where else in the world.

Our Resources

We know we are only as good as our next trip. So Satpack Travel keeps an updated database of all the places we visit, all the hotels and guesthouse we know as well as notes on the roads across South Africa. We also ask for and really do use detailed feedback from all our clients so we can constantly improve our service.

We complement this by accessing other resources available. For example online travel fora (such as TripAdvisor and Wikitravel), hotel rating services and guides, as well as speaking to our network of contacts in the South African travel industry. In particular we look to where South Africans are going as they know what’s hot and what’s not.

But our main resources are our travel Fundis. We only employ enthusiastic, committed, articulate travel experts who share our passion for promoting the best that South Africa has to offer.

Your Input

When you contact Satpack Travel, the first thing we ask is for you to answer some simple questions so we can better understand what turns you on. Do you want a beach holiday? Do you like hiking? Do you want to see The Big Five? Where do you definitely want to go because your friends loved it? Do you prefer a window seat when dining? And of course the necessary details – What is your budget? When are you planning to travel?

We then go away, consult, research, scratch our heads and put together options and a proposed itinerary for your consideration and feedback. Only when you are happy do we make all the necessary bookings and send you a confirmed itinerary.
